Homecoming Week is Over!

It still has not hit me that this is my senior year, and it probably wont for a while. This past week though has been a big help in making me realize that this is in fact my last year of high school. Homecoming is always crazy for me, but this past week exceeded all of my expectations!
Ok we can start with monday! Ummm, hold on that was a long time ago so I am trying to remember! I had softball practice, then I went and watched my younger (not so little!) brother's football game. Tuesday I had a softball game and an FFA meeting RIGHT afterwards! I actually left before the last inning was over with... It is a good thing that our ag building is literally right next to the softball field. This was our first chapter meeting of the year, and boy it was a long one! This meeting we get everything sorted out for the year. And by everything I mean fundraising, chapter shirts, field trip, homecoming float and many more!

FFA consumed my life the following day as my Area Vll officer team and I  hosted the Area Leadership Conference. There my chapter officer team and I competed in the rituals contest (we placed 2nd!) and I ran a workshop for the chapter vice presidents to improve their position within this next year. Honestly I was freaking out a little, I had to memorize my opening ceremonies for secretary (chapter office) and vice president (area office)! If you didn't know the vice president has about 85% of the opening ceremony. Other than that everything went smoothly.
The entire Area Vll Officer Team and our State Officer Kelsey Elbel.

Thursday was another softball game and the city wide pep rally. It was fun to watch the band, the cheer and dance teams perform and get ready for the next day.
Friday was of course insane! Being the photo editor of the school newspaper I had the wonderful opportunity to make sure photos of the pep rally, parade, game, and dance were accomplished (I can only take 15% of the credit for that. Sydney, one of the yearbook editors, did a fantastic job of getting photographers at the spots they needed to be at!) But I did enjoy taking photos at the pep rally. :) During the parade I rode on the softball float. Sadly this was one of the coldest days to have homecoming! Then of course I went to the football game (it was a victory for the wildcats!:)).
Oh and I almost forgot, friday we distributed the first issue of the newspaper for the year. Yeah-- friday was crazy.
Saturday I took the ACT for the fourth (and last) time. Let us hope that I get a better score because I will not wake up early on a saturday for a test again. Later that night I went to the dance with my guy:) The fact that neither of us can dance but he still tries brings a smile to my face! Then sunday evening I got my senior photos done by Liz Ogle Photography. She was a blast to work with and I am excited to see how the photos turned out!
Well that was my week; my crazy, busy, stressful week. But I realized that it was my last one. My last Area Leadership Conference, some of my last softball games, my last first FFA meeting, my last homecoming. And that is what this year will be, a lot of last times, but many more first times.
