Generations of Progress and Promise-- The Governor's Conference on Agriculture

My MAbA experience was resumed Saturday. I was able to attend the Governor's Conference of Agriculture at Crown Center in Kansas City. This event is held ever other year. The theme for the conference was Generations of Progress and Promise.
Saturday was primarily focused on the "Promise" of agriculture-- basically it was about youth in agriculture. That is why my MAbA class was invited to experience the event.
My roommate Maura and I.
Before the first session my friends and I were walking around the trade show and catching up on what each other was doing back home. The speakers for the session were the Peterson Farm Bros and we got to take a picture with them! I am ashamed to say that I did freak out.
I think it is safe to say that we were all excited to meet the Petersons.

During the session they talked about how to advocate for agriculture with social media and showed us some of their videos. They even sang along for us! I was impressed with their modesty, their YouTube fame hasn't gotten to their heads!
The second session was presented by the Missouri FFA Organization. Some of my friends from MAbA went onstage and gave presentations about their high school chapter. After that session I had to leave, my brother had basketball games in Kansas. But from what I heard the concert held by John Michael Montgomery was really good.
Overall I had an amazing day seeing all of my friends and I already can't wait to see them again!
