Agriculture Isn't Just For Farmers

Our friends at Monsanto Seed Company has provided us another video to enjoy. Many of my friends
believe that because I want to have a career in agriculture means I am going to farm. I don't know what I want to do. I have several majors in mind, but I know I want to be in agriculture. Animal science, agriculture communications, agriculture business; I feel like my desired major changes everyday! Enjoy the video below to see what careers are offered in the agriculture industry.

Even if you aren't the kind to go sit in a tractor all day that doesn't mean you can't contribute to the industry. In 2007 the average age of a farmer was 57 years old, but the industry is growing. There are many individuals behind the farmer. They design and program the tractors, they formulate the the sprays to kill pests, they promote the industry that feeds the world. Being in agriculture isn't just being a farmer anymore.
